Evening skincare routine for rosacea: step by step

Nights are for repair. Follow this 3-step sequence and keep treatment to the nights that suit your skin.

The sequence

cream cleanse → azelaic acid alternate nights → barrier cream.

Active nights and recovery nights

Use azelaic acid alternate nights on two or three nights, spaced apart. On the others, cleanse gently and use only barrier cream.

If persistent facial flushing flares after an active night, extend the gap to every third night.

Avoid at night

Fragrance, hot water rinses and strong physical scrubs tend to undo evening progress — leave them out for the first month.

One week of rosacea care, planned

Mornings stay identical; evenings alternate between azelaic acid alternate nights nights and recovery nights.
